Dynamic Drive & Superior Handling

Feel connected and in control with a carefully engineered lightweight chassis and optimised weight distribution to improve responsiveness, ride and handling.

The five-link rear suspension provides superior stability over bumps whilst improving driving comfort. This, coupled with the minimal body roll helps the MGS5 EV feel responsive and stable on even the most challenging roads.

The MGS5 EV is equipped with a choice of two motor options, a 125kW and 170kW, with the latter powering the rear wheels to accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 6.3 seconds

Based on the MG’s innovative Modular Scalable Platform (MSP) – This highly acclaimed bespoke EV platform was first introduced on the multi-award winning MG4 EV in 2022 – The MGS5 EV is our latest vehicle to adopt it.

The MSP is our clever vehicle architecture built for pure electric models – designed to maximise battery efficiency, reduce weight and optimise performance for a range of vehicle types.

New Generation Battery with Rapid Charging

Our latest ultra-thin battery technology allows for rapid DC charging, from 10-80% in 28 minutes or less^ and supports up to 298 mile WLTP range. The MGS5 EV’s 400V system means you can rapid charge in speeds up to 139kW.

It’s longer lasting too. This third-generation battery is designed for high charge retention, even at fast charging speeds. gives you better performance and an even longer lifespan, all while taking up less space – so there's more room for everyone.

^10-80% charging time applies to a 150kW Ultra-Fast charger under standardised test conditions. Charging times in real world conditions will vary dependent on a number of factors, including but not limited to the age of battery, charging conditions, temperature and the existing charge of the battery, charger used and duration of charge. Charging times will be increased when using chargers of a lower capacity. Availability of 150kW-capable chargers may be limited depending on your location.

Up to 298 mile WLTP Range

Free yourself from range anxiety with our new generation battery that supports a driving range of up to 298 mile WLTP combined*. The standard-equipped Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) comes with four energy recovery modes (Low – 1. Medium – 2, Strong – 3, Adaptive – A ) plus One Pedal Mode, offering modes for every driving condition whilst enhancing efficiency. Go explore those open roads.
