How Does The Motability Scheme Work?

Step 1  - Choose your model

At Dinnages, there are a range of vehicles to suit everyone’s needs. There are a number of powertrains & transmissions to choose from, including plug-in and full hybrids, and our Motability Specialists can help find the one for you.

Step 2  - Place your order

Once you have found your car, your Motability Specialist will set up the agreement and enter all the details into Motability online. They’ll then confirm your eligibility with the Department of Work and Pensions and place your order.

Step 3  - Collect your Motability car

Once the delivery date is confirmed, Dinnages will finalise insurance, loss and damage protection details.

Step 4  - Payment 

Finally, If you have chosen a car with an Advance Payment this will need to be paid in full to Dinnages. Motability Operations will hold the V5 document.

With Motability you simply exchange your higher rate mobility allowance to lease a brand new car for 3 years.

All you will have to pay for is the fuel. You don’t have to be able to drive yourself.  You can get up to 2 other people to drive for you.
